For Researchers
Scientific Poster Layout Checklist
Plan a research poster with a clear reading path, figure hierarchy, concise labels, and export settings that hold up at conference scale.

A conference poster is not a paper on a wall. It is a guided visual conversation. The layout should help readers understand the core claim in seconds.
Start with the path
Decide whether the poster reads left-to-right or top-to-bottom. Keep that path obvious with section spacing, headings, and figure placement.
Let figures lead
Use figures as anchors, not decoration. A strong methods workflow, result panel, or conceptual diagram should carry the main story while text supports it.
Export carefully
Check final dimensions, image resolution, and font sizes before printing. Save a PDF for print and keep editable source files for last-minute conference updates.
